The Linkskey CAT5 KVM Extender Set is a new KVM extender technology that utilizes CAT5 media technology to extend your console up to 100M. This cost-effective KVM Extender Set extends your keyboard, monitor and mouse from your computer up to 100m (330 ft) on a single CAT 5 UTP cable with satisfying signal quality.
Receiver and Transceiver unit
The CAT5 KVM Extender Set contains two separated units -- Receiver (RX) unit and Transceiver (TX) unit. The RX unit is the remote console unit which connects the keyboard, monitor, and mouse. The TX unit is the computer module unit with an optional local console. The RX and TX units are linked together by a CAT5 cable. An optinal local console can be setup next to the computer to allow instant access.
CAT5 KVM Extender technology for Practical Use
With the CAT5 KVM Extender Set, you can put your system into a totally different location up to 100M apart from the console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). You can setup the console across the exhibition room, working floors and leave your system (server and pc) in the security room and locked server room.
Dual Interface USB and PS/2 on computer side
The CAT5 KVM Extender is flexible on supporting both USB and PS/2 interface on computer side. Support USB for current and newer system models. Support PS/2 for legacy and older system models.
Extension up to 100M with High Resolution
Using the CAT5 ethernet technology, the extension distance can go up to 100M or 330 ft. Adapting the ethernet network cabling system, the CAT5 KVM Extender Set can be easily setup in the existing network environment without any changes.
Video Signal Tuning
Video settings such as gain and equalization can be adjusted by the controls on the Receiver RX unit. Using the controls, you can fine-tune the video signal to obtain the best video quality.
